11th Hua Hin Food Festival - 2008
In conjunction with the government and private sections, the Hua Hin municipality will hold Hua Hin’s 11th Food Festival from 5 – 9 November 2008 at the Queen Sirikit Park or 19 rai.
Mr. Jira Pongphaiboon, Hua Hin Mayor, pointed out that the food festival where fresh seafood, Thai and western Food is promoted, is meant to boost international tourism in Hua Hin.
The food festival is aimed at one of the province’s vital development strategies and to promote the city’s tourism activities.
Recently, the Hua Hin municipality has organized food sanitary training for 120 entrepreneurs in Hua Hin and handed out Clean Food & Good Taste certificates and signs to confirm the standardized quality of food production.
“This will upgrade the food quality and it will ensure hygiene and quality to everyone” said the mayor
The 11th Hua Hin Food Festival will exhibit a variety of local famous Thai and international food from individual entrepreneurs and Hua Hin’s 5 star hotels including beverages and desserts. In addition, there will be live local performances and live music by well-known Thai jazz singers, every night throughout the event.
It is believed that many Thai and foreign tourists will be visiting the festival this year.
