Hua Hin sub-branch Red Cross to produce Jatukham Rammathep amulets to raise mone

Mr. Woraphot Simakhom, a treasurer of the Hua Hin sub-branch Red Cross, Prachuap Khirikhan Province, revealed the Red Cross office has been producing Jatukkham Rammathep amulets called "Luang Poh Tuad" in Special Committees series, totaling 7-9 pieces in one set.

Moreover, there will be a production of single Jatukkham Rammathep amulets made of grass root, wood and the remaining materials from other amulet productions, etc. and the production of Jatukkham Rammathep in the form of a medal amulet called Sam Kasat (or made of three metal materials), and the production of amulets in the form of copper medals coated with copper alloy. All production of fine powder and metal medal amulets totals 33,333 pieces and 3,988 pieces respectively.

The material collection and blessing ceremony were performed on Saturday 5th at Nong Yai Uam Temple, and then the grand blessing ceremony of the amulets was performed again on 27th August at Huai Mangkol Temple. Finally, the amulets were taken to perform the final special blessing ceremony at Sa Khet Temple in Bangkok. After the religious ceremonies, the amulets which were passed in the blessing ceremony would be distributed at Huai Mongkol Temple and Hua Hin sub-branch Red Cross office. The amulet price started from 299 - 499 - 599 and 2,999 - 3,999 baht.

The objective of the committees of the Hua Hin sub-branch Red Cross behind Jatukkham Rammathep production was to raise a budget for a permanent Hua Hin sub-branch Red Cross office which requires 7 MB. as planned in a blueprint and to provide a van for outdoor activities of members to aid the poor. Presently, there have been a large number of people both in Hua Hin and Bangkok ordering the blessed amulets and it is anticipated that the amulets will certainly be sold out before the end of this year.

Mr. Woraphot also added, presently the Hua Hin Red Cross office is extremely responsible for the society on provincial and central administration because there are a number of areas affected by floods, storms and so every month. Therefore, the Red Cross office will coordinate with the district chief officer, provincial governor and sub-district administration organization to take care of people encountering danger immediately.

"The latest work of the Hua Hin Red Cross was to offer thousands of spectacles, cash, dried food and walking sticks to elderly people. For such activities to proceed, the office must raise the income to approx. 4-500,000 baht to provide such offerings to the poor. It is said to be "the responsibility carried on by Hua Hin sub-branch Red Cross on behalf of a charity organization under the Thai Red Cross" said Mr. Woraphot.

Mr. Woraphot extended his speech to include that now he is in charge of a treasurer with 50 Hua Hin native members who devoted themselves to assist the Hua Hin Red Cross office. The members have to hold charity activities to earn the income necessary year by year because there are no donations from other sections to run the organization at all.

The amulet production will be a part of the income to help the poor and if any kind people wish to donate money or whatever they can afford, or even order Jatukkham Rammathep amulets, please contact the Hua Hin sub-branch Red Cross office, Tel. 0-3251-2946 anytime.
