In the past, the identity card had a black & white picture but later changed to color picture. Now the Hua Hin Municipality developed a system to make an updated data base as Europe or the USA. The Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior, is offering the project Registration and Card System Service in conjunction with computer or smart card”. The aim is to use the computer system to issue the identity card completely, using the new format up to date and adjusting the service system to a fast and convenient way.
The smart card has an IC ship in it that can store more multiple information from 32 Kbyte to 64 Kbyte. On the front of the card, you will find a Garuda and a 12 point code to protect the forgery. It can identify the owner of the card with his finger print or pin code and can be used as an internet card and future services. In addition, Smart Card can reduce the usage of paper and use the electric ship instead to copy the identity card, make a copy of residence registration, copy of marriage license, copy of changing the name and surname and etc. Smart card has all the personal information needed.
