Mr. Pornwut Sarasin, a vice committee chairman of Thainamthip Co., Ltd., revealed at the present time the senior executive officers and all levels of officers have an immediate realization of the environmental condition in the country, along coasts and tourism cities in Northern, Southern and Eastern regions as well as in Hua Hin. With the problems of global warming, factories, consumption of electricity, fuel and also garbage, it appears that such pollution affects the overall image of the country and the world. Therefore, the company has brought the project to Thailand.

The background of the project goes back to 1986. Mrs. Linda Maraniss, a member of The Ocean Conservancy, presently known as The Center of Environmental Education, in Texas, USA, cooperated with people in Texas to clean up beaches, roads and public places, totaling 122 miles, with 124 tons of garbage. This inspired people in 100 different countries around the world to eliminate garbage on 15th September.

Furthermore, Coca-Cola or Coke whose companies are located around the world as well as in Thailand (Thainamthip) has accepted the conservative policy to practice in the name of "Coca-Cola International Coastal Conservation" which used to be practiced in Mae Ram Phueng Beach, Rayong Province with the cooperation of the government sections and people, totaling 18 miles and 14,000 pounds of garbage of 723 different varieties.

Mr. Pornwut also added this year the project has proceeded with the cooperation of Mr. Siraphan Kamolpramote, the Hua Hin Mayor, and sub-communities at Hua Hin Beach. The environmental development is for the benefit of society and commercial purposes of Thainamthip simultaneously and the company never hesitates to distribute the budget for either the society or sport because the company is believed to be a public organization which is willing to cooperate with the country and the local government sections upon all environmental projects.

For the global warming situation of the world, the Coca-Cola Company has realized the problem and wishes to prevent the world from the enormous spread of global warming to the atmosphere. Therefore, the factories under the company have been well controlled and have taken care of energy consumption; electric systems of machinery, lighting, water, cars, for example. All types of consumption will be economically saved and controlled according to the correct criteria which can reduce the pollution causing global warming.
