Police Stations undermanned
Mr. Chalermchai Sri-On, the president of commission & Senator of Prachuab Kirikhan of the Democrat Party, said that according to his inspection of the Hua Hin Police Station, it is reported that there are many problems in the police station. A total of 280 Policemen should be in service but now only 217 policemen are present which is quite insufficient to deal with the population which is not enough to deal with the problems for both Thai and foreigners in Hua Hin.
“We are now lacking of the good commanding officers, Forensic Science policemen, Science policemen, investigators for the drug addiction. Not enough budgets for fuel, water, electricity and policemen residences etc.” said Mr. Chalermchai
“The Hua Hin police have to administrate protection for His Majesty the King, Her Majesty the Queen, the royal family and the courtiers.” He added
In addition the police needs to cover the Thai and foreigner population in Hua Hin. Right now we lack budget for management and development. He will discuss this problem with the Central Thai Police and request additional budget and personnel to deal with this problem.
He found that every police station in the region that he went to inspection have the same problem. Unfortunately he could not present any immediate solution. He will have to have to discuss the problems with the Central Thai Police first. But if the Democrat Party is the government he can solve these problems in time.
He wants the policemen to do good work and avoid violence among innocent & accused because we live in a Buddhist environment in love & peace.
He came across a problem in Udon Thani were 2 protesters were fighting each other. Some people were killed and wounded without the police taking care of this problem.
After the inspection he encountered many problems and he will try his best to solve these problems. Mr. Chalermchai was able to pay some contributions to the Hua Hin Police Station.
