Prachuap Khirikhan to establish Travel Business Association

Mr. Punja Srisongphol, the owner of the Private Resort & Spa, Sam Roi Yod, explained that The Province and PAO have appointed him as a Chief Executive of "Prachuap Khirikhan Travel Business Association", the recently established organization. It mainly aims in promotion and support of tourism in the province. The association consists of groups of hotels and guesthouse entrepreneurs from Pranburi, Sam Roi Yod, Kuiburi, Muang, Thab Sakae, Bangsaphan and Bangsaphannoi Districts.

To enable this association to be effective, it will be necessary to work together with provincial governor, the chief executive of PAO, district chief officer and mayor. The budget for each activity will be provided by PAO. If it is successful, the tourism of the province will be brighter and amount of money coming from it will be also distributed to entrepreneurs of hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, car rentals etc. in short and long term.

"The chief executive of PAO, district chief officer, mayor and chief executive of sub district administration organization (SAO) will consult each other on improving routes, accommodation and security in tourist attractions of each area. In case of urgent budget needed for development, it will be addressed to the committee. The final process is that the plan will be applied to each area for the benefit of tourists and local people." Mr. Punja said.

Mr. Punja also added personally he had a plan to present tourist attractions in Hua Hin, Pranburi, Tab Sakae and Bangsaphan via overseas media in Scandinavia, Europe and Asia in purpose of promoting short and long term of tourism. The province has high and strong potentials in tourism attractions, for example: sea, mountain, forest and historical sites. If the province is well promoted, a lot of tourists will surely visit all the year round. Besides, the PAO has been working intensively on other tourism projects in this province as well.

In case this new association and the current one will cross each others way, it is decided that the two organizations will have to call a meeting together and discuss the upcoming issue. The new association will be responsible for the network of tourism in each district and will assure the best out coming results.
