Stamford Cha-Am offers Mini MBA

Mr Prasong Pitoonkijja, Petchburi's governor, with Dr Sawadi Petchotechuang, director of Stamford, and Dr Chira Hongladarom, Secretary to International Human Resources Development Foundation, announced the opening of Mini MBA course at Stamford International University, Cha-Am.

Dr Sawadi said that this Mini MBA course will allow business owner who need to seek vital strategies to help keep their business going and more successful. Anyone can join this course regardless of education background, age, or gender, etc. The university provides qualified lecturers who are fully experienced in the relevant subjects. The attendees will be urged to discuss their business problems to the class freely.

Mini MBA course will be taken on Saturday and Sunday hours are from 9.00-17.00 hrs. Total hours of the course is 120 hours. The course will start on 16 September 2006 and will end on 13 January 2006. At present there have been many people signed up for this course. The tuition fee is B30,000 per person.

Dr Chira noted that because of politically instability, Thailand's education quality has been degraded since there haven't been many people to really focus on elevating the standard of Thai education. Dr Chira urges the government to be transparent towards the improvement of Thai education. Besides, Thai education will benefit more if the government aims to invest in the long term development.

"We should encourage our students to learn to think critically. We should pay more attention in science and technology which will help students learn to observe and think for themselves. For a long time until now our educational system only allows students to learn by memorizing what they learn in class, when the term ends students will forget all what they learn in the class. This is why we cannot compete with students from other countries whose education system provide critical thinking in their classes," said Dr Chira.
