Power training practiced by provincial police division

Pol.Col. Phisit Sominthu, Prachuap Khirikan Provincial Police Commander, revealed that the Royal Thai Police had ordered all police officers in each division to practice their ability of policing before participating in the Region 1-9 competition, so that Prachuap Khirikhan Provincial Police Division assigned each police station to practice hand and weapon manners and strategies to charge criminals. All the stations under Prachuap Khirikhan’s control were strictly inspected and watched by the Division and the Commander. Moreover, the practicing result was also satisfied, and then plans were made to send the best practiced station for the competition in the Region 7, Nakhon Pathom Province.
Pol.Col. Phisit also added that the benefit of the practice was not only for the competition, but it was also for the effectiveness of the police in each station as well, because after the police school, officers don’t have any chance to improve or practice their abilities at all, so that this was the best chance to increase the potentials of police. From now on, all police officers must practice every Wednesday and Friday to re-build their discipline base and to work in teams as ordered by the Commissioner.
“Without practice and without discipline, the police officers are no different from security officers, but when they are well trained, they will be able to tackle criminals effectively and they can ensure the people and police organization as well” Pol.Col. Phisit added.
Being a police officer, however, the gained salary is approx. Bt. 10,000 at the beginning, with the responsibility of assisting the government and other concerning works depending on each yearly policy, but as soon as the rank is promoted from Police Sergeant Major to Police Senior Sergeant Major, the gained salary will reach approx. Bt. 30,000. Therefore, all police officers are requested to be proud of their profession and not to be dispirited with it, because if so they could enable officers to work unhappily. Compared to those labors, if they don’t work, they don’t get paid, so that police officers should be proud because they are paid by the government.
“Hua Hin Police Station is regarded as the most rapidly expanding point where a lot of Thai and oversea’s tourists are interested in visiting and staying. It means that great responsibilities must belong to the police officers. If they are unqualified and jealous of each other, the police institute may collapse. No matter who does evil, the police officers must not. In the case that any of them are not able to work for the people, they had better resign from their careers” Pol.Col. Phisit said.
