Infantry Center to welcome tourists visiting museums and natural attractions in

Maj. Gen. Niwat Meenayothin, a Commander-in-Chief of the Infantry Center, Dhanarat Camp, Branburi District, Prachuap Khirikhan Province, revealed the camp is prepared to welcome both Thai and foreign tourists who are in Hua Hin, Pranburi Districts and Bangkok, accompanied by travel agencies, to explore attractions in the camp, such as a museum of the Field Marshal Sarit Dhanarat, the former PM. of Thailand which displays varied items such as uniforms, working desks, insignias, medals given by the King and outsiders etc.

Moreover, there is a weapon museum displaying an array of weapons such as pistols, rifles, anti-aircraft guns - tanks etc. from the "Free World and Communism" to inquisitive visitors. Both museums will be guided by military officers as curators to thoroughly describe all the details as well.

Furthermore, there is a natural attraction known as "Tasadet" where visitors can enjoy sightseeing a river surrounded with a green forest and a mountain range as a background. The rest houses are also available for those who wish to stay overnight during holidays or vacation.

Besides the above mentioned, there are different kinds of goods and souvenirs produced by a military housewives group available for visitors in various forms of processed fruits, fruit drinks and other handicrafts at a reasonable price and good quality, in retail and wholesale distributions.

Maj. Gen. Niwat also added other attractions which are not mentioned in the camp are not inferior to those mentioned above and now he and the army are urging to develop other attraction points on infrastructures in accordance with visitor's demand. Then, the soldiers in the camp will be responsible for ensuring the security of tourists. Finally, hotels, guesthouses and travel entrepreneurs who intend guiding their customers for an overnight stay at the camp, please contact the public relation department of the Infantry Center, Dhanarat military camp in advance for convenience.
