60 years of Hua Hin Vitthayalai School, the leader of education

Priest Yharat Chaiyara, the director of the Hua Hin Vitthayalai School (Salesian) Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khirikhan Province, revealed it would be the 60th anniversary of the school in September. It was established in 1947 and that was when the first group of students was admitted.

From the past until the present day, the school has produced a lot of students who have gone to universities and who have become leaders of the country in many occupations such as the police, soldiers, doctors, lawyers and so on, but one of the most famous students was Mr. Mana Sridokbuab (Phon Kingphet) the first World Championship boxer of Thailand.

At all times, the school is an institute that has been a giver to students regardless of caste. As teachers, administrators and priests are in charge of producing valuable people of education, society as well as ruling classes, all of these things that they have done, would bring back benefits to the school.

The pattern of teaching in the future would be a pattern which could turn students around, focusing on the students' strengths inspiring hope and development in teachers, students and academic matters. Only things that will last forever and will never change are virtue, morality and humanity in every aspect.

Why the students who graduate from here are all quality students, is because the school always provides an emphasis on international subjects, teaching them English, Math, sporting and so on. All of these will be engrained into the students by the teachers from primary to secondary education.

"As regards to teachers and officers, our administrative teams don't regard them as employees in a workplace, but all of them are coordinators. Even they earn little in return, but they are all proud of themselves when we give them a good feeling of ideology. Their prides will finally push them to work to the best of their ability" said the priest.

The Priest Yharat also added in the past the school only had a few hundred students, but now it has a total of 3,000 students from elementary level 1 to higher secondary level with 160 teachers (both male and female). In the near future, the amount of students will increase more than ever, so, the administrative teams decided to build a substantial building (90 million baht) to accommodate the increase in students.

The building will be divided into classrooms (of 1st year- 6th year secondary education), a big library for researching and finding good books, computer rooms, Physics Laboratory, utility rooms and others which will be officially opened at the end of this year.

For the 60th year of the school at the beginning of Jan., 2008, the school will reveal the physical appearance of the buildings and the new teaching plans which are all high in academic quality. These will be applied to the students in preparation for being regarded as international after their graduation.

All are the pride of us, "Salesian", building quality students serving the people in Hua Hin, Cha-am and Pranburi thanks to native teachers. When everything is as smooth as it should be, all coming advantages will belong to the country and the locals. Therefore, parents can send their children to the school with trust, and they will be proud of their children as quality students in return.
