Everyone gets in the party spirit at Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa
Marriott associates – led by Noawarat Arunkong, the Director of Operations – made sure guests got into the party spirit with refreshing splashes of water as well as regular offerings from the cooling cocktail list. Also on offer were mouth-watering dishes from the hotel’s popular kitchens like CIAO and Chicago Grill. There was a great atmosphere throughout the resort but especially at the poolside where fun games were played and winners shrieked with delight as they were presented with their prizes.
As evening approached the festival took on a more formal note with a sumptuous “Songkran Northern Dinner” buffet spread at the hotel’s beach. In tribute to the renowned Songkran festivities of the northern part of Thailand, especially Chiang Mai, 100 guests were treated to a host of delicious regional specialties and entertained with a traditional music and dance show. Later, Thai and foreign revelers danced late into the night to the hip sounds of Most Wanted, Hua Hin Marriott’s fantastic band from the Philippines.
Songkran has always been a heart-warming occasion for guests and Marriott associates to gather together as one family and to wish one another a prosperous Thai New Year. Naowarat Arunkong, Director of Operations said: “Thank you to every one for joining our celebration whether they were here to take part in a traditional ceremony, enjoy our Dinner buffet or simply just to get soaking wet!
“I’d like to take this opportunity to extend my heart-felt wishes for happy days ahead and look forward to welcoming everyone again next year.”
