Grand celebration in Hua Hin
Khun Siraphan held a meeting where chiefs of each of the government departments in Hua Hin gathered to prepare the celebration for this occasion. He stated that as Hua Hin is a royal city where our beloved King resides, the committee is preparing many activities for this occasion.
Hua Hin municipality together with 7 schools in Hua Hin, government offices and representatives of the private sector, will hold an exhibition to honour his Majesty the King at Hua Hin Market Village between 7 May-3 June 2006. The exhibition will include His Majesty's biography, details of the many royal projects, and photographs of local places when His Majesty visited His people in Hua Hin area, etc.
Huaysai (Petchburi) and (Pikulthong), two of His Majesty's many royal projects, will also exhibit at this event. The exhibition will be attended by the Prachuab Khirikhan governor who will preside at the opening which will be held at 10.00 hrs. of 27 May 2006.
On 3 June at 16.00 hrs Hua Hin municipality and education department, along with aerobics club of Hua Hin, will hold an aerobics dance exhibition at Hua Hin school sports field as a part of this celebration.
In the morning of 9 June, the day we celebrate His Majesty the King's 60th year accession on the throne, Hua Hin municipality is inviting everyone to make merit by offering rice and dry food to 99 monks at Hua Hin bell tower. However, local residents who live on Naebkhehard and Dechanuchit need not visit the bell tower itself. It is their good fortune that the monks will walk through both streets to the bell tower.
Later on the municipality will lead the celebration march from the municipality parking space towards the north. The march ends at Queen's Park (19 Rai) on Soi 35. A group ordination will also be held at Queen's Park afterwards.
Hua Hin municipality urges and invites local residents and Hua Hin visitors to gather to celebrate the occasion of His Majesty the King's 60th year on the throne at each event mentioned above.
