The original jazz music event on the beach is back!!
“CM Event” and “TrueMusic” bring back the most classic scenario of jazz music event of the year “TrueMusic Presents Hua Hin Jazz Festival 2008; on the Beach” with the concept “Feel the Jazzmosphere”. The 2-day music event held during June 13-14, 2008 at Hua Hin Beach. Jazz lovers felt the mantra of Jazz Music on the romantic scenery with all-time favorite Thai and World’s recognition jazz artists.
The opening moment of the event was presided over by the Mr. Chousak Sirinil, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Prachuab Kirikhan provincial governor, Mr. Panchai Bavornrattanapran said that the 2008 is scheduled as ‘Amazing Prachuab Kirkikhan Year’ to promote tourism industry in the province. ‘Hua Hin Jazz Festival on the beach’ has long been highlighted as significant event for Hua Hin and Prachuab Kirikhan. The event has continuously brought numbers of tourist to Hua Hin during the low season as well as created the Jazz atmosphere all around Hua Hin.
Mr. Semkhun Khunawong, CEO of CM Organizer Plc. On behalf of CM Event said that the Hua Hin Jazz Festival is strongly supported by Prachuab Kirikhan’s governor for many consecutive years. This year ‘TrueMusic presents Hua Hin Jazz Festival on the Beach’ has become even larger than previous years.
The ‘Jazz on the beach’ event is the original music event being held at Hua Hin for many consecutive years. It has become event of the year and been put in visitor’s travelling calendar. There were more than 65,000 visitors – Thais and foreigners – attended the event last year, where it is expected to increase to 70,000 visitors this year. There were full-function of facilities, security control, and traffic management operated for the highest visitors’ convenience.
The venue of Hua Hin beach is three times increased with number of activities for jazz lovers with ‘Feel the Jazzmosphere’ concept.
Highlights of the event were the performance of imported world’s recognition jazz musicians, like Kenny Garret Quartet, Mike Stern’s Band featuring Dave Weckl and Chris Minh Doky and Thai talented jazz bands. Another remarkable activity at the opening ceremony was the featuring of ‘the blending of Jazz and Art’ where the famous local jazz group “The Hua Hin Music All-stars band” performed on stage and created the art piece of painting inspired by the rhythm of jazz music.

TrueMusic Presents Hua Hin Jazz Festival 2008 on the beach marked another big music event on June 13-14, 2008 at Hua Hin Beach.
The 2-days event was the gathering of Thai and international jazz artist. The worlds’ class jazz musician, like Kenny Garret, Mike Stern’s Band featuring Dave Weckl and Chris Minh Doky, were the highlight on stage. Kenny Garret is noted by the LA Times “One of the finest jazz saxophonists around” while Mike Stern’s Band featuring Dave Weckl and Chris Minh Doky made an ultimate music phenomenon where world’s top three jazz icons performed together on stage for the first time.
Another highlight, there was the featuring Thai famous lead vocal, like T-Bone, Songsit Rungnoppakhunsri, Rudklao Amaraditra, Jirasak Parnpoom, Cholanan Limthai, Poo BlackHead, PuiFai AF 4, Jean AF1 etc. with the professional jazz bands, like Mansri, Denny & Friens, The Jazz Dojo, Pomelo Town Band, Young Blood Band tribute to Billie Holiday and others jazz band performed on stage for example, ZZD band, The Hua Hin Music All-Starts band, Silapakorn Kickin Ass Quintet and Air Quartet band.
