Hua Hin’s Youth Golfer and her success story
Singha Prayad Rising Star’s youth golfer revealed that she started to play golf when she was only 8 years old at the Royal Golf club Hua Hin. She has been playing golf for over 6 years and has played in many tournaments both in Thailand and overseas.
Her impressive record since 2005 when she won 5th place at the Junior Golf Championship at San Diego, United Stated, and July 2006 when she won 2nd place and July 2007 when she won the 3rd place add to her steep starting career. In January 2008 she won a championship at the Tamamera International Junior Golf Championship in Singapore. In March 2008 she won the Play Off from DRB Hi-Com Asian Junior Golf Championship in Malaysia and in May 2008 she won a championship from True Vision Junior at Royal Hills and Green Valley in Rayong which also enabled her to compete at the PGA tournament in Florida in November 2008. In July this year, she came 10th in the Junior World Golf Championship in San Diego, USA.
Jirapan also said that her successes in golfing both in Thailand and outside make her really proud as they also help promoting the country at the same time. She particularly thanked Mr. Santi Phirompakdee of Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd. who has been supporting the junior golfers of Hua Hin and enable them to attend competitions and programs both in and outside of the country and bring back fame and pride in doing so. This is a true good deed for the society.
As for the world famous golfers that Jirapan looks up to, there is Tiger Woods and Lorena Ochoa from Mexico. Tiger Woods inspires Jirapan as he has the same Thai blood as she and Lorena Ochoa, a person who comes from a small country but works her way up to the place where everyone would like to be.
Jirapan will continue playing golf since her parents and Mr. Santi are supporting her greatly. This could be her future career. In academics, Jirapan plans to study in Arizona at a University in Psychology as she believes she could use the knowledge of this field to help improving her life and that of others.
