Opening Speech to the Prize Presentation
Distinguished guests, ladies and gentleman, friends welcome to the prize presentation of The VIP Invitational in association with Hua Hin Today at Banyan Golf Club, Hua Hin.
Before we begin with the prize presentation many of us present here today remember this area with pineapples and wild rural landscape just 2-years ago!
Today, you have experienced a golf course which was designed and built by what I firmly believe is Thailand's most talented golf course architect Khun Pirapon Namatra of Golf East who is especially here today having just flown in from the US last night.
I hope you've been able to meet such an inspirational and dedicated professional to the growth in the game of golf in Thailand.
Thank you Khun Op for providing us with such a fantastic golf Course. Furthermore, a golf course needs a clubhouse which I hope you feel as proud as we do for it was designed by what we believe is one of Thailand's most talented architects Smith Obayawat from
the Office of Bangkok Architects.
Banyan Estate and Golf Club could not have happened without the vision from a team of
dedicated investors who are especially present here today and I hope you have had the
opportunity to meet with them.
Banyan Estate and Golf Club has been taken to the world stage. Khun Prayad Markseng now
ranked Thailand's number 1 golfer was here recently and claims our golf course record to date with a card of -3 under, net 69 told me everyone on the tour is talking about Banyan and Hua Hin.
And, to our towns credit the first sanctioned Asian Tour golf tournament will be held in Hua Hin March next year attracting many of the best international golf professionals and visitors.
Together, with my colleagues managing hotels, golf courses and media want to drive Hua Hin as the preferred golfing destination in Thailand, of which Banyan Estate and Golf Club is contributing significantly in all its local and overseas marketing.
