Cooking Class: Stir-fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts
Dear Lovers of Thai food, we are back with our "easy to make recipes". Today we will learn how to make one of the best known Thai dishes - Stir-fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts or "Kai Phat Met Ma Muang".
You will need the following ingridients:
1) Chicken meat cut into pieces 500 gr
2) Big Onion cut into thumb size pieces
3) Dried red chilies 1/4 cup (not nessesary)
4 ) Roasted in oil Cashew nuts
5) Sugar 1 1/2 table spoons
6) Oyster sauce 2 table spoons
5) Light soy sauce (Seeu Khaw) 1 table spoon
6) Ketchup 2 table spoons
7) Chopped garlic 3 gloves
8) Corn starch 1 table spoon
9) Black papper (to taste)
10) Green onions chopped into thumb length pieces
Directions:
1. Mix corn starch with light soy sauce and black pepper - mix well and add chicken cut into small pieces then fry in oil until yellow or well done.
2.Add white onions, dried chillies( if desired) and garlic, then oyster sauce, sugar and ketchup. Fry for another few minutes.
3. Add green onion and roasted cashew nuts in the end, remove from heat and serve with white rice.
