Dr. Chaiyanan Thayawiwat, one of the directors of The Hua Hin Hospital, Prachuap Khirikhan Province, revealed to "Hua Hin today" that at the moment, the Hua Hin construction project is 80% completed. Patient rooms, examination rooms, operation rooms and other facilities have already been accommodated for. After the opening ceremony the hospital staff and specialists from various branches e.g. anesthetists, general surgeons, orthopedics, orthodontists, physicians, ENT (eye, nose and throat) will be able to facilitate all the visiting patients, with the most efficient service.
When the nine-storey building is officially opened, it will be divided into various departments in accordance with the high standards from Bangkok. Moreover, any patients from Prachuap Khirikhan, Chumpon, Phetchaburi, and the Southern zone provinces will be able to be admitted due to the Ministry of Public Health and the Government having prepared this hospital as "a General Hospital".
Nowadays, Hua Hin Hospital will be able to provide specialists wards for emergency, maternity, congenital, surgical and others. The hospital will be able to accept approximately 500 patients a day.
For Foreigners who live in Hua Hin and tourists may also use the facility as a day clinic for their minor and non emergency problems as well as requesting the ambulance service and doctors on call for house visits.
Dr. Chaiyanan added that "The Hua Hin General Hospital Project" is supported by the budget of 600 million baht from the Ministry; however the budget is still insufficient and therefore cannot provide all the modern medical equipment. Luckily, Prakhru Papassornwaraphinit (Abbot Phairote) from Huai Mongol Temple received a donation from the project of "Jatukamramthep" of 90 million baht, which with assistance from another abbot, Phrakhru Khajitthamsopol, a nun, Cheepthu Huadhin, and Ms. Phanchama Sathukarn and Hua Hin citizen, is estimated at around 100 million baht.
