With a lot of effort made on his beloved authentic Italian restaurant, Mamma Mia was voted as one of the best restaurant in Thailand by Thailand Tatler Magazine for 4 years since 2004. And of course, there are so many more of awards other than this one, like American Express, Diner Club etc.
Mr. Claudio is an Italian citizen who was born in a small city outside Milano. He moved to Thailand 20 years ago started his 1st Italian restaurant in Pattaya. He resided there for 10 years before moving to Cha-Am. After a while he finally decided to settle down in Hua Hin and work on building his successful restaurant Mamma Mia “I chose Hua Hin because it is a beautiful city and it is a good place to do business as well” said Mr. Claudio.
The menu of their authentic traditional Italian cuisine changes every a few months. His recommendations are a special dish of slices of tuna and shrimp-loaf with green salad and cherry tomato, crab meat timbale with tomato in balsamic dressing. For pasta lovers try angle’s hair pasta in walnut sauce with Parma ham or rigatoni pasta with Brussels sprouts, crispy salami and sheeps milk cheese. He also said ‘To keep the Italian original taste, we have a fire-wooden oven, a real Italian pizza oven’
You can always have a private party or any special events, by prior arrangement, the restaurant can hold up to 40 people on the 2nd floor. The customers are both Thai and foreigners.
