MARTIN RAICH APPOINTED GENERAL MANAGER
A veteran hotelier, Martin brings a wealth of experience to his position with a career spanning over 22 years in several leading hotels where he had held executive positions in various locations in Europe and Asia Pacific. His expertises include proven skills in pre-opening and opening hotels and Food & Beverage operation.
Martin first joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 1994 as Food & Beverage Manager at Sheraton Heathrow Hotel, a post he held for two and a half year before he was promoted to be Director of Food & Beverage at Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel & Conference Center. In 1998, he took his first post overseas at St.Regis Beijing where he gained opening experiences as Director of Food & Beverage. His next move in 1999 brought him back to Europe, carrying the post as Executive Assistant Manager of The Westin Bellevue Dresden, Germany. In 2001, he was appointed Executive Assistant Manager, Six Sigma Manager, Black Belt, managing for The Westin Bellevue Dresden, The Westin Grand Berlin and The Westin Leipzig for 3 years.
Prior to join Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Martin was General Manager of Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort. In his new role, Martin will be responsible for the overall business operations and continue success of the newly 240-room five-star resort in Hua Hin, known for its fine restaurants and bars, comfortable guestrooms, superior spa, advance conference facilities, the unique lagoon pool and courteous associates.

Martin is trilingual in German, English and Dutch and is married to Annett, with one child. Apart from hotel and family life, he shares his passion for traveling, jogging, golf and cooking.
