Thai Traditional Acupuncture by Laithai

Ms Piyasiri Phianprasop, the owner of the Laithai Thai traditional Medicine, revealed in 1999 she took a course on Traditional Medicine at San Ling Eio Hospital in China with Chinese experts of human acupuncture with many years experience. Later she worked for the government as a nurse in Thailand and started her own business on Thai Traditional Medicine. The acupuncture treatment will be useful for patients suffering from paralysis in the face, arms and legs, those with a sore back and waist, Spondylosis, Hemorrhoid etc.

When a particular type of illness is discovered, the treatment will begin by Thai masseurs massaging a patient in various points of the body and then the acupuncture will commence on different parts, such as, arms, abdomen and other important points concerning the internal system of the body, using 20-30 needles altogether. The acupuncture treatment will take 30 minutes / time, 15 times / month and 3 months (30 days) for recovery period. The key treatment is that a patient must drink Noni juice from USA, as an accompaniment to the modern medicine.

For paralysis patients, the acupuncture will cost 3,000 for needles, 7,000 for Noni juice, 3,000 for treatment, 5,000 for doctor fee and 5,000 for physical massage. The full course takes 3 months costing approximately 25,000 - 30,000 baht.

"At the moment there are thousands of patients from Thailand, China and European countries, children, teenagers and seniors. Each case has found that medical treatment from a hospital has been totally ineffective. So I am frequently asked by relatives to treat patients using a form of Chinese acupuncture treatment. Even those who dont suffer from diseases can undergo this kind of treatment to boost Yin-Yang energy which deteriorates as time passes by". said Ms Piyasiri.

Ms Piyasiri also added the severest case was Mrs. Thanaporn That-Ubon who used to suffer from Nerve root compression symptoms by massaging for 10 years. She had tried treatment in many hospitals, but it seemed useless, she deteriorated and then she had to be looked after in her home. Following this, she was treated using acupuncture while drinking Noni juice and her recovery appeared to be very rapid and she was able to move parts of her body again. (Parts that she could previously not move at all). Another case was a girl named Sitharak Sriyanon who had very weak muscles and could not produce sound from her throat. After the acupuncture treatment, she could move parts of her body and speak. The husband of the first case and the parents of the girl all hoped to see their relatives back to normal.

The effectiveness of this kind of treatment will subjected to each case and each illness. Different factors will also give different results. Normally, it will take around 3-6 months for the treatment, with the key factor of Noni juice used to clean up the body and also to increase energy in the blood vessels by 60%, enabling the acupuncture to be effective. All of these theories have been fundamentally researched and recorded as the criteria of treatment.

At the moment, Ms Piyasiri is taking a course on Chinese Traditional Medicine at Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, about acupuncture and knowledge of parts of the human body as the principal of Chinese Traditional Medicine. Now she has nearly finished her course and will aim to seek cases for experience and the benefit of patients.
