Worawee Garden Home Resort shoulders the responsibility for the poor students
Mrs. Worawee Beargord, the Worawee Garden Home Resort Owner, Hua Hin, Prachuap Khirikhan, revealed she is a native of the Northeastern region who used to be the poor, but with her attempts and good behavior for society, she was able to finally succeed in her life. Then, she married a Scandinavian man from Denmark and stayed there for a period of time. After that, she decided to return Thailand again and behaved frugally until she gained enough money. Then, she spent 50 MB. of her money on building houses in the form of the Thai Northern traditional style on the foot of Chong Khao Dang Hill which became her business.
Her project consists of 10 houses facing towards the breeze and sunlight in the morning. Each house will be composed of a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a toilet, a flower garden and a swimming pool. They are Long-stay houses, that is to say, guests can stay 1 - 3 months or more and the payment will be subject to family rate (a family with 2-5 members will be charged 20,000 baht a month). Every year, there will be a number of Scandinavian visitors from places like Sweden, Finland, Norway or Denmark staying during the last three months of each year by making e-reservations in advance without just arriving without warning.
"The reason why a lot of Scandinavian people visit and stay in Hua Hin is that Hua Hin is a peaceful and beautiful city where HM the king's palace is situated. With its fame, she and her husband who used to live in Scandinavia, publicized their business on long-stay accommodation and it appeared that they had received wonderful feed-back from their customers". Said Mrs. Worawee.
Mrs. Worawee also added presently, she realized she loved Hua Hin so much, when her business succeeded, that she decided to hold an event in the name of "Pha Laeng Night for Charity" which included performing the arts of Isan or the Northeastern region such as Isan Xylophone or Pong Lang, a fashion show, paintings as well as a meal in a form of "a dinner". In the event, there were a lot of Scandinavians, who have stayed and had their families and businesses in Hua Hin, participating and donating money for the event in order to help her. The total donation was aimed at approx. 1-2 hundred thousand baht and would be given to Ya Praek Ta Kho School under HRM. Sirindhorn's patronage, to obtain a barber and concerned appliances.
Apart from Worawee Garden Home Resort Village, she and her husband also have another small hotel located in front of the Hua Hin Vitthayalai School. If the business on accommodation for foreigners in Hua Hin is successful, a condominium to be sold outright will be erected in the next year while the social responsibility for schools and poor students will be taken at the same time for returning a gift to society as well.
