Hua Hin Municipality holds Community Council
Mr. Siraphan said Hua Hin District Office had set up 35 communities in accordance with the policy of the Ministry of Interior to increase the quality of life for people who earned less income in the Hua Hin area.
Each community would be administrated by the President including the committee of the community who are in charge of developing and cooperating with other organizations, and who are also in charge of consulting the community as well.
Therefore, to develop Hua Hin to be livable city, there must be a continuously developing process, so that Hua Hin Municipality can hold the Livable City & Community Project for converting the policy to a real development.
The policy, enabling the city to be livable by the year 2010, is composed of 9 obligations; 1. Cultures 2. Education & Information 3. Public Health 4. Environment 5. Security for lives and properties 6. Economy 7.Participation 8. Government Management and 9. Infrastructures. The success of the project must require cooperation from all sectors to drive Hua Hin forward.
That means concerning persons have to realize their duties in community development, to urge the people and community committees to work together as well as encourage the people to take part in the development.
Mr. Phakphum Suphanawan was chosen to be the President of the Community Council in this event. After the project, it is expected that communities in Hua Hin will achieve livable city status and it will be the driving force of the development of Hua Hin in the future.
